- The Competition is open to all children, who live in United Kingdom and were born in either 2000, 2001 or 2002.
- Each participant can submit one image. This should be related to the theme ‘Space and Aeronautics’
- The competition runs from 1st September - 15th November 2011. All artwork must be submitted within these dates.
- Pictures will be judged, by a national jury, according to the relevance of the artwork to the given topic and the originality of expression and aesthetic appeal.
- All participants must register for the competition by completing the official entry form.
- All submissions must be the participants own work.
- All participants must agree to the subsequent use of their submitted artwork by the European Commission, in relation to the Galileo Satellite Programme.
- Employees of the European Institutions – including agencies and delegations – and their families cannot take part.
- The winner from each participating country will have a Galileo Programme satellite named after them. The Galileo Programme Satellites are scheduled to be launched in phases as of 2011 and until the constellation is complete.
- There is no financial alternative to the prize.
- There is no fee to enter the competition.
- The decision is final
